依靠OOM杀手意味着你已经输了。 OOM只是防止内核恐慌的最后机会。
收集性能数据将显示您变得无响应的症状。 尤其是,如果平均负载比CPU的数量大得多,那么你就有太多的准备运行的任务堆积起来。 可能是因为花费这么多系统时间扫描内存页面。 这会导致响应时间很差。
关于为什么确定没有内存不是微不足道的,看看文档/ sysctl / vm.txt具体overcommit_memory 。 内核是相当复杂的假装有更多的内存可用,因为实际的物理使用通常远远小于分配。 这需要一点CPU时间,这可能会加剧病态的低内存条件。
我看到这可能是EC2中的Xen虚拟机。 在云中,如果你想在这个问题上投入资源,很容易使大型虚拟机启动。
如果您怀疑应用程序分配的太多,开发人员应该使用Valgrind来查看其内存configuration文件,或者在从OOM进行Panimo时查看kdump。
